Inglot haul

Hello beauties,

We’re almost halfway through of December and as you have noticed I kinnda took a break from blogging because sometimes it’s ok just to observe, to live and lo learn. A lot of parties are announced this month so a lot of preparations have been on my mind but that never took me away from a little shopping spree, this time Inglot.  You’ll notice that I was hooked on pink, taupe and gold as colors.

Pink comes in form of two lipsticks ( one a sleek cream hot pink and the other a frozen pink, both very cute and girlish) and a nail polish (that’s a cotton candy pink that will be absolutely smashing in a glittery gold and petrol-grey combination on my nails).

Taupe comes in form of a mono eyeshadow with a little shimmer, perfect for a smokey eye look in the evening of for office days (when used instead of an eyeliner).

Gold comes in form of a metallic nail polish that will be perfectly as a stand alone color or in any combination or even as a base for glittery gold top coat.

And because now all of us cannot think about anything else but how to adapt to the color of 2015, I decided that this coppery bronze body pigment will serve well as a transition throughout the holidays and other parties. If you don’t know how to use the body pigments (I also was not aware of this wonderful product) you can check the Inglot YouTube channel here. Hmm, that gives you a lot of ideas, doesn’t it? Nevertheless, if you don’t have the inspiration you can use this body pigments as eye-shadows (as long as their ingredient lists do not contain irritants).

So very soon I’m planning a lot of review for for all of them so stay tuned and enjoy every moment of this wonderful month.

Until the next time, wear red lipstick and glitter all the way;-)

November empties

Hello beauties,

Now November ends and it’s time for another empties post a chance to talk about  products reviewed over the time and consumed and products that simply were not worth a separate post or, because of objective reasons, I don’t have time to write a review, and my overall thoughts on them.

  • Sephora pearl mask for perfecting and brightening – this was a fiber mask from the new collection of Sephora products. The word is that it reduces blemishes, evens skintone and increases luminosity of the skin. I’m not exactly sure that it perfected anything or increased the luminosity for that matter but it had a nice scent and the experience was a pleasant one. With a nice moisturizing tough before going to bed no one will notice that this mask did not minimize skin irregularities.
  • Inglot Makeup Remover for Waterproof Makeup – this was not actually a purchase but a gift received in Inglot store but I have been using it on and off since the beginning of the summer – it’s a lovely makeup remover, very functional and it does not leave that much of a greasy feeling as other waterproof makeup remover did so most likely this will be a (re)purchase
  • Clarins Eye Contour Balm – I’ve reviewed this product here, but I will probably repurchase this cream if nothing else catches my eye as I liked it very much

  • Garnier Mineral Invisible deodorant – I wanted to get away from Nivea rut and got my hands on this product but I was not impressed. Well, if a deodorant says it stays 48h there should be a warning sign (dear Garnier, I have the impression that I do wash with a higher frequency that you recommend us using your products). The scent was pleasant and on the functional side it was ok but I had itching sensations especially a day after hair removal and also I’ve got the sensation that the product was in a smaller quantity than the bottle led you to believe. It will not be a repurchase.
  • Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue – this is a nice alternative for the days when you want to blend in, not to be ostentatious or fresh from the field; I liked this perfume and probably will be a repurchase.
  • Yves Rocher Fucsia Nail Polish – the trouble with ordering online is that sometimes products appear bigger than they really are. But to pay for a normal bottle and to receive something close to a sample size it’s just pure rip off and this is why I stopped buying Yves Rocher. This nail polish has a pretty fucsia color but I’ve used it probably 4-5 times and now although the bottle has at least a quarter of the product it cannot be used (because it’s not enough and it got dry more quickly than the average nail polish). It will not be a repurchase.
  • Dove cream bar –  in terms of drugstore soaps, Dove rules and their Purely Pampering gamma is a pretty choice; mine was with coconut milk and I was not disappointed. Probably will be a repurchase
  • Netrogena Intense Repair Body Lotion – Although I’ve never got the chance to do a separate review, this product deserved it: this is one of the best body lotions I’ve tried latest in terms of moisturizing. I’ve used it for every part of my body every day and my skin (even the dry patches from heels and elbows) felt so soft. And the bonus was it didn’t had any scent so there were small chances of irritation. I would recommend it and will repurchase it again.

As you can see I’m a bit lazy about consuming makeup products this month (is it because I have so many? noooo). What did you empty this month? Leave for me a quick comment below.

Until the next time, wear red lipstick and glitter all the way:-)

Inglot Liquid Eyeliner

Hello beauties!

I come here in front of you to admit that now and forever I am going to be an eyeliner addict. I believe this product to be an answer to a lot of questions whether concerning evening , daily , foxy, quick makeup.

When I bought this eyeliner Inglot was quite new to me but I’ve heard a lot of good things about it and I was ready to be impressed. And to make it a full experience I chose it in black.

  • liquid texture that dries in a short amount of time
  • quite resistant for a non-waterproof liner
  • brush applicator tip makes it super easy to apply the product

  • it contains tiny silver specks so it might give the wrong impression that the result is glittery – it’s not
  • it flakes if you don’t shake the bottle before usage – but I’ve never experienced this, just read about it.

My overall conclusion: I would recommend within limits this eyeliner. My experience with it has been positive for almost half a year, rain or shine and I am quite happy about this product and I’e used it in any possible combination.  But if you have oily eyelids or you are the kind of person with limited time to apply makeup I would suggest going for a waterproof eyeliner with a solid applicator tip as some skills need time to develop.

Until the next time, wear red lipstick and glitter all the way:-)

Inglot Gel Eyeliner

As this cat-eye mania is starting to wear off but somehow in our hearts we cannot get enough of eyeliners I just became curious about the famous Inglot products.

About two months or so ago, as their first store was opened in Bucharest, I’ve  purchased one black liquid eyeliner (to be reviewed very soon) and one of their gel eyeliners. The AMC gel eyeliner is in shade 95 which is a nice shimmery gold and it comes in a 5.5 g pan, more than enough for any eyeliner if you intend to use it frequently. I’ve been using this product ever since as I’m mad for bold daylight makeup

  • it doesn’t smudge
  • it’s waterproof
  • it’s pigmented
  • lovely texture
  • easy to correct
  • stays in place for 8 hours
  • fair price

  • dries quickly, so you have to work super-fast

My rating: 8.5/10. I would recommend you to give it a try especially because they have a wide range of color options for you to choose from.

Until the next time, wear red lipstick and glitter all the way:-)
